It’s hard to keep track of all the products and services that we have subscribed to every month. All we see is money deducting from our accounts, sometimes from services we no longer need anymore.
A digital product to help manage subscriptions. An app that helps users keep track of the products and services they have subscribed to.
We did an online survey using Google forms. A total of 30 people responded to the surveys. This helped me understand my target audience more.
We interviewed potential users over phone calls to better understand their subscription management process and how we could better improve it.
We proceeded to create a persona from the data collected from our interviews and surveys to guide us along the project.
Next we created a user journey map to show our user’s experience so we can understand it better and find ways to improve and optimize it.
We created a user flow using Figjam to identify the different paths the user could take to carry out a task and look for ways to simplify it.
In order to make our app easy to use and navigate for the user, we created a sitemap, all the while considering the user’s ease and the apps usability.
Our low fidelity wireframes were then created based on our insights and feedback from our research.
One major constraint while working on the project was the difference in time zones amongst the four of us of us. The first few days, were challenging but we found a time that was convenient for everyone.
During the research phase, it was somehow difficult getting people to interview. We eventually managed to reach out to people in our different communities to overcome this challenge.Collaboration is an important skill we have all learnt or improved on while working on this project.
